The 4th edition of The Barcelona Debates on the Human Microbiome, entitled From Microbes to Medicines, was held on June 20–21, 2019, at CosmoCaixa, Barcelona. The meeting brought together international experts to discuss the increasingly important role of the gut microbiome in human health.
The scientific program included presentations on topics such as the influence of intestinal microbes on the efficacy and toxicity of cancer treatments, as well as the ecological relationship between humans and microbes, fostering insightful discussion and knowledge exchange. We sincerely thank all speakers and participants for contributing to a stimulating and productive scientific meeting.
