The 3rd edition of The Barcelona Debates on the Human Microbiome was held on June 29–30 at CosmoCaixa, Barcelona. For the third consecutive year, the meeting brought together leading international researchers from a wide range of disciplines.
The scientific program focused on unlocking the vast scientific and therapeutic potential of the microbiome across virtually all areas of modern medicine. Research findings addressed the impact of bacteria on aging, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, infectious diseases, and digestive disorders, with particular attention given to the role of the microbiome in HIV infection. These presentations fostered insightful discussion and knowledge exchange. We sincerely thank all speakers and participants for contributing to a stimulating and productive scientific meeting.
